Angels of Stonegrove

The Project

The project, led by experienced artist and Art for Wellness Facilitator, Esperanza Walsh, through the sponsorship of the Westhill Endowment Trust, endeavours to support the positive transformation of the community and create a space where individuals can grow and be proud of their achievements through the creation of a safe space of self-expression. The workshops will also serve as an avenue to promote peace, community cohesion and improved social relationships.

The theme of this project surrounds angels and depicts them using different art media. The theme also brings different faiths together through a subject that is common in most faiths and in most cultures. Within the span of the project, free regular art workshops will help participants learn new things and participate in the activities resulting in artworks which are to be part of a semi-permanent display at the OneStonegrove Community Centre.

We would like to bring the local community closer together and strengthen relationships through fun, creative and inclusive activities.

I really like Angels of Stonegrove because it helps me bond with my mummy πŸ’• and I just love art so when I do it I feel free. I feel proud to be a part of such an amazing group. Three cheers for Angels of Stonegrove!

It is really a great opportunity to learn new skills and share our personal work with others. Esperanza has consistently been a very positive influence, encouraging all to attempt every activity during the session. The general atmosphere is friendly but with a sound focus on the set target. Thank you.”

A very unique project that shows how a community working together, with a common goal, whatever the ability, can and does work."

Is an art project that bring Communities Together to reflect relax and expressing our feeling through art and getting to know each other in a friendly calm environment in a peace manner ThanksπŸ™πŸ˜‡πŸ˜β€οΈβ€
